Abstracct
The present study examines the ontological foundations of good and evil and the role of their opposition in regulating the social, religious, and political order by examining Zoroastrian texts and using library method. The image of the Sassanids in the “Khodaynameh” is a kind of centralized empire that was governed by the cooperation of the clergy. Although this alliance was mostly done to gain the trust of the Zoroastrian people (an attempt at centralization), in any case, the reasons for making religion more governmental It led to the further weakness of the government and eventually, its decline. An attempt has been made to examine and critique the role and impact of dualism based on the two concepts of good and evil as an ancient attitude in this land on the Zoroastrian religion and its impact on the understanding of the moral imperatives and necessities of society and how to force humans to act on that basis, in other words, the transition from "being" to "becoming". The duality that helped to create a society with order, morality, and harmony and formed a part of Iran's cultural identity, whose effects have been able to remain until today both in Iranian society and in the opinions of world philosophers, especially Plato and Kant.
