Achaemenids (550-330 B C) as one of the Iranian governments have left a great impact in the field of world culture and civilization . Sports and ethics were important cultural issues of the Achaemenid period . Strengthening the physical and spiritual powers has been the focus of Iranians since the beginning, and this became more evident in the Achaemenid period. In the current research, with the descriptive-analytical method and using first-hand sources, attempt to answer the question that what was the position of sports and ethics in the Achaemenid period and what was the relationship between them. The findings of the research show that in the Achaemenid period, there was a mutual relationship between the cultivation of physical and spiritual powers, and the cultivation of each of these two depended on the cultivation of the other, and a perfect person is someone who is cultivated in both fields. In this period, sports such as shooting, javelin throwing, horse riding, swimming, polo, chess and backgammon board were taught along with honesty, integrity, tolerance of hardships such as heat and cold, hunger and thirst, control over anger and passion. . . . . . . . . . . . . .
